Two things are extremely important to me: my family, and trying to be a better person than I was yesterday. The latter means growing in wisdom, in knowledge, and in knowing that I have done everything I can to help people achieve their dreams. That is why I started Fortis Players (formerly known as FutureSport).

Fortis Players is a company that grew by accident, to be honest. I have always played football when I was younger, and even though I never managed to be the top player I hoped I would become, football really became a huge part of my life. I love it dearly, and when I became a trainer at Elinkwijk I met a lot of people who asked me to help with all sorts of things in the world of football.

One thing led to another, and my network grew bigger and bigger. I have seen many very talented players who did not make it, and I sincerely felt bad about it. What can I do to help these players? I am going to manage them. Be the positive influence they do not have. Be the safe haven who does not think of you as a cash cow, but as a human being with dreams, interests, humor and intelligence. But also be the one who does not kiss your ass when it all goes well. Who will be the strict but fair person you can count on. I will be there in good times, but definitely in the bad times. Because when everything is going well, you will have a lot of friends. When everything is bad, you will have no one.

In 2019 I also started helping former professional footballers with their life after football. I give them advice and food for thought so they do not do crazy things with their money. I help them invest in projects their heart lies with. Even when their interest is not my interest, I will do thorough research and see if it is something worth investing in.

I will guide you before, during and after your career. Because my ultimate goal is to be better than I was yesterday, and I wish the same for everyone else. I cannot be better if I do not sincerely help people.
